Online Kenpo Karate Training

Over the last few years, we as a society have faced an unprecedented set of challenges
as the coronavirus (COVID-19) has impacted our way of life. As a result of those
challenges, Newark Kenpo Karate made a commitment to develop our capabilities to
provide high quality martial arts online training for interested students unable to attend in person
classes.
Digital formats expanded exponentially during the worst of the Covid pandemic and
here at Newark Kenpo Karate we recognized the tremendous opportunity this offered to
many students who are not always in close proximity to an instructor. The digital
technology we have available presents us with an opportunity to keep the Kenpo Karate
program available to students who want to continue to learn or improve their skills but
cannot attend regular classes here at the studio. While we understand that an in-person
lesson may be preferred, our instructors take advantage of the Zoom
Teleconferencing Platform to facilitate Karate lessons for many students from all over
the globe.
How our Online Lessons work:
- This service is available to all currently enrolled Newark Kenpo Karate students and other students regardless of Belt Level.
- If you are using a mobile device, you will need to download the Zoom app. If you are using a laptop or computer, you will need to download the Zoom plug-in file which will install Zoom on your computer. Do this prior to your 1st scheduled lesson time.
- We will contact you in advance of your upcoming online lesson via text or email to confirm the online lesson details and send you a Zoom lesson invite. Click on the private and secure link and join the meeting. (More detailed information will be sent when you sign up).
- Our instructors will be teaching from the studio via a big screen TV and state of the art camera equipment. All virtual classes will be live and interactive.
- Please respond to your email confirmation as to how you would like us to handle your personal account. Lessons can be paid by calling in to the Studio and making a payment with a card over the phone or you may access our website and use the PayPal button designated for Digital Lessons.
You have 2 options for payment:
- Pay a per class charge of $20 via our Digital Lessons PayPal link on our website. You must make this payment no later than 2 hours prior to the start of the class to allow us time to process the payment and send you the link.
- Pay a monthly fee of $120 to receive the codes for all available classes. Currently there are 2 adult and 2 junior classes scheduled each week. We will add classes as they are needed.
- Private Lessons are also an option. If you are interested in Private Online Lessons, they are also available. Please contact Newark Kenpo Karate directly to arrange those.
